Challenge of the week

It’s not just learning that happens outside of one’s comfort zone but also the discovery that limitations are self-afflicted. Things that seemed crazy impossible 2 years ago in my own life (a loving home, having my own toys) are just natural now. So what difficult things do you want to make feel natural in 2 years?

“A year from now you may wish you had started today.”

We’re starting the day right, gentle, no rush, a little exercise, a little fun (see here), but the evenings can use some improvement. Missy showed me the video of this lady who’s doing some movement every evening for the duration of 1-2 songs. It sounds perfect, I’m always up for a little fun.

We’ll start with one song, any movement will be acceptable, stretch, dance, weights, but we’ll do it together, and we’ll do it before going to the bedroom. And we’ll do it every night this week – no miss!

Me looking sternly at Missy to commit to this evening exercise

We’ll do a weekly challenge for the rest of 3 weeks as well: what are your suggestions for beginners like us? Any exercise, eating, or other health habits are welcome.

Love, Mia

April health challenge update:
– Did Missy order food? Almost did twice but no in the end!
– Did we both eat veggie/fruit for every meal? Yes, except snacks 🙂
– Did we exercise? No
– Did we take 7k steps? Yes
– Did Missy visit at least 3 blogs in the challenge? Yes

  1. Taking up the challenge of cooking everything from scratch is one I took up two years ago, small steps at a time, and I found something fun and healthy to do (making your own food is much healthier than buying stuff — you know exactly what’s in it!).
I’ll try out moving for a song or two at a time… sounds like something I can do with my Rottweilers!
