Life is about glee, the elation of the simple fact that we’re alive. We dogs are very good at that. But Missy needs regular reminders, and I’m all too happy to do that for her. For example through jumping.
“Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.”
Thich Nhat Hanh
Jumping is fun. I jump up onto benches, tree trunks, even trees themselves. In these moments, I feel fearless. Light, free.
I wish the same for Missy. I know it’s harder for her, her muscles and joints are not that strong or flexible but jump is jump, even if it’s small. Happiness is in the small things!
So much fun! That’s what exercise should be about!
What makes you jump for joy?
I haven’t done much jumping lately but o immediately thought of my mother in law who jumped around the kitchen when we told her she was going to be a grandmother.

Oh, jumping! My Mickey likes jumping a bit too much! He jumps on people and jumps on the cats. He’s just too friendly!

I also have to be strict with Mia not to jump on others 🙂

If only I could embrace running and jumping the way a happy dog does — I’d be in much better shape, no doubt! 🙂
